Spiritual Care is an intrinsic part of healthcare and is fundamental in TEGH抯 commitment to provide patient-focused, quality care and service. Spiritual Care has to do with the spiritual and emotional well being of patients, their families, staff, physicians and volunteers. It reflects care of the whole person ?spirit, mind and body and is specific to promoting, maintaining, and restoring spiritual health. Spiritual health is concerned with an awareness of purpose and the search to understand the meaning of life and creation. Times of illness and crisis can challenge a person抯 sense of meaning, purpose, and worth.
A Chaplain can offer:
TEGH Chaplains provide opportunities for people to discover, affirm and claim their purpose and strength during times of illness, grief, death and bereavement. We work in an interfaith capacity with people from all faiths, and with those who do not belong to any faith tradition. In working from this multi-faith perspective, we respect diversity in culture, beliefs, and practice.
Some times to call a Chaplain:

times of distress, crisis, difficult news

needing support in dealing with death, grief, loss, anger, fear, etc.

Other Services Provided:
On the main floor (F1) there is an Interfaith Chapel as well as a Christian Meditation Room available 24 hours a day for prayer and solitude.
Monday at 1:30 pm Pathway of Prayer in the Interfaith Chapel.
Wednesday at 11:00 am, there is a Christian service in the Garden Terrace, J5/G5.
Friday at 1:30 pm there is Muslim prayer in the Interfaith Chapel.
Holy Communion is provided to Catholic patients whenever possible.
Volunteer Pastoral Visitors, representing diversity in culture and faith tradition, are available to visit patients.
Chaplains are available for patients, families, staff, physicians and volunteers:
Monday to Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
